Cody Gildon

Owner/Team Director

We will get back to you as soon as we can!

Cody’s passion for sports and coaching began at a young age in his hometown of Texarkana, Texas. The 1991 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School played football and baseball all while gaining his first experience with coaching. Cody was not only contributing to his own teams as a player, but was coaching his younger brothers ball teams as well.

After graduation Cody was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds but ultimately choose to begin his college career. He attended Seminole Junior College where he had the privilege of being coached by the legendary Lloyd “Zero” Simmons.  While at Seminole, Cody was able to experience being part of a team that played in the JUCO World Series. While injuries would ultimately end his baseball career, his experience at Seminole instilled in him the foundation for how the game of baseball should be played.

After receiving his associates degree from Seminole, Cody decided to utilize another skill set and walked on to play football at the University of Arkansas. He proudly wore Razorback red for the 93-94 season.  Another injury would unfortunately take him off the field, but not out of the classroom. Cody finished his degree in history and secondary education and later returned to the U of A where he received his masters in sport management.  Cody’s love for coaching took off after college and his passion for educating kids and sharing his knowledge only grew.  He coached high school football and baseball for 9 years in both Texas and Louisiana. He also ran numerous camps and gave hitting and catching lessons to athletes of all ages.

After his son was born, Cody got out of coaching full time and entered the business world. He did, however, continue to give lessons and coach his son’s baseball teams. Over the past 7 years Cody has also been coaching USSSA teams and continues to do so today. He currently coaches the Proformance 13U team. He has been with this group of boys for several years, they are very special to him and he takes pride in seeing them succeed and learn the game of baseball the Proformance way.  Cody is excited to continue to share his experience, his knowledge, and the skills he gained from so many great coaches with all of our Proformance athletes.
