Michael Apodaca BS, CSCS, RSCC

Strength Coach

A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach.  Michael’s primary goal is to coach athletes of all levels with integrity, while developing qualities to improve their skill and performance.

After enjoying a successful high school baseball career, Michael decided to pursue his love of athletics at New Mexico State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science Minor in 2013. While at NMSU, he completed multiple internships with the strength and conditioning department, working with the football, basketball, baseball, and track & field teams (men and women).

Following graduation, Michael was immediately hired by the Detroit Tigers organization as a strength coach.  He spent two successful seasons with the Tigers.  Michael was then hired by the Seattle Mariners organization where he spent the last four years. In 2017 he was awarded Northwest League Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year.

Throughout his career, he has been blessed to see a great number of players fulfill their ultimate dream of playing in the major leagues. “It is truly a blessing to just be a part of their journey, and to serve them.”

Michael is excited to work with Dustin Moseley and the Proformance Team and assist athletes to strive to meet their personal goals.  As a follower of Jesus Christ, it has been a dream of Michael’s to incorporate his faith in God, his passion for serving people and seeing others excel in their God-given talents and abilities.  It is very rewarding to Michael to see athletes maximize their potential to become the best version of themselves. 

Michael is available to provide a customized training program that is SPORT SPECIFIC and designed to fit the needs of every athlete at every level.   Athletes of any sport are more than welcome to schedule strength & conditioning sessions regardless if they are new to the weight room, or advanced and in need of challenging training routines.

When he isn’t coaching, Michael enjoys watching all things ESPN, working out, and spending time with his girlfriend Mariah, and his family.
